Halfway between a book review and writing advice, this new section of the blog, Books and Writing, will be released on Thursday or Friday. For each book I will write a sort of review, evaluating it according to some personal standards, and I will also analyze it as a resource for writers. For some time now I have seen reading as more than a simple pastime: for me reading also becomes study. A tool for learning to write, to experiment, to find ideas, to reason. So I will no longer write reviews on my "Books to read" blog, which I don't know what will happen to it now, but I will redefine them into something that I find more useful and stimulating.
Something like this has already appeared on the blog: I wrote an article on the Cloud Atlas novel in which I highly recommended it to those who love writing. That won't be the cut of "Books and Writing", but something similar. There is no Phone Number Data shortage of material. Many reviews I have already written – at least the ones I think are valid – will be revised in a new form, as I said. Furthermore, there is also the problem of managing too many blogs and content fragmentation, so I prefer to concentrate here what I can, what is inherent to the blog's themes. Maybe there will be affiliate links in these posts (if someone buys the book from the link, which points to Amazon, I'll get a percentage).
What do you think of this section? What about affiliation?Pay attention to grammar : it is never obvious advice and you cannot afford to make a fool of yourself. Learn the rules of writing for the web : your guest post will be more readable and understandable and the page will be optimized for search engines. Write the post yourself, but have it reviewed by a web copywriter : they will be able to give you advice on how to improve and set it up. Write an exhaustive article : don't drag out the story with useless paragraphs and repetitive passages.
